Serving the largest crewed yacht fleet in the Caribbean

Community Involvement:

The CYS is well known within the Community for its support of various initiatives, programmes and charitable causes.

Local charities such as CADA, Family Support Network, Rainbow Children’s Home, and Red Cross have all been beneficiaries of the Society’s philanthropy.

The CYS and individual members are regular supporters of:

VISAR: Virgin Islands Search and Rescue is the officially recognised search and rescue service in the British Virgin Islands. It is a voluntary organisation dedicated to saving life at sea.

The BVI Watersports Centre and the Royal BVI Yacht Club have received sponsorship for the purchase of an Optimist and a Wayfarer respectively to assist in fulfilling their aim to educate and train youth in all aspects of safe, courteous and enjoyable use of the waters.

The Marine Association: Comprised of both the marine services and yacht charter industries, the Marine Association promotes ethical standards of business to safeguard the reputation of the BVI as a centre of high-quality service.

The BVI Chamber of Commerce and Hotel Association actively promotes a positive business and social environment for the benefit of the territory while sustaining the unique advantages of the BVI

Finally, throughout the last 20 years the CYS has made generous donations to individuals in the community who have found themselves in difficult circumstances.
